Core Responsibilities (this paragraph defines the specific actions of the employee to achieve the goals together with manager to perform the main tasks)

  • Evaluation of Database Server Hardware;
  • Installation of Oracle Software;
  • Database and security strategies planning;
  • Creation, migration and opening of database;
  • Database backup;
  • Registration of system users and planning for their access through Oracle Network;
  • Implementation of the database project;
  • Database restoration after failure;
  • Database performance monitoring;
  • Information resources integrity monitoring.

Knowledge and skills

  • expert knowledge in Oracle Database Server 10-19;
  • knowledge of DBMS theory (SQL, index normalization, query optimization, integrity control, etc.);
  • experience in creating and operating high-load databases with high availability;
  • sound SQL knowledge: skills in reading, understanding, optimization of expressions. Experience in optimization of query plans, configuration of queries with Oracle tools: hints, SQL Baselines, SQL Profiles, SQL Patches;
  • skills in Oracle RAC, Dataguard;
  • experience in work with more than 10TB of database. Skills in tables partitioning;
  • General database performance analysis;
  • performance analysis using AWR, ASH, ADDM, other tools (EM);
  • experience in Oracle DBMS administration on *nix platforms;
  • work in the UNIX / SQL command line, scripts writing (sql, pl/sql, perl);
  • monitoring buildup (including, using Oracle - GC, CC tools);
  • command of English at a technical level.
